The new iPad 2019 Air releases recently on 25th March 2019 as Apple decided to launch an iPad that is lightweight, sleek, fast, and supports a variety of apps. Air 2019 comes with two different variants 64GB/256GB where the iPad Air 2019 Price Australia lies in between AU$799 – AU$999 (Respectively). However, it suffers from the middle-to-child syndrome. It’s not as cheap as the entry-level iPad, which handles the basic tablet stuff well, nor is it as powerful for creative applications as the iPad Pro. But if you combine it with a keyboard, the iPad Air 2019 is very well suited as a basic laptop for regular home use.

Apple iPad Air 2019 Design and Display
The tablet’s design is similar to that of the 10.5-inch IPad Pro 2017. It has 9.8 x 6.8 x 0.2 inches dimensions and weighs just 456 grams. On the bottom, there are two speakers, a flash connector (not USB-C) and the traditional home key with Touch ID. The Air does not support Face ID but Touch ID.
The 2,224 x 1,668, 10.5-inch screen, similar to the new iPad mini 5 2019 screen. The colours are pretty accurate. Apple’s True Tone technology changes the white point of the screen based on the ambient light.
Apple Pencil Support
The tablet supports the original Apple Pencil and Logitech’s stylus, the Crayon, which is a bit lighter than Apple’s long, round pen, but has no tilting sensitivity.
While Apple’s first-generation pen is more accurate, more sensitive and less sluggish than capacitive pens that were used by the previous models having stylish stylus which is responsive and realistic.
Apple Smart Keyboard Case iPad 2019
The main reason to buy the new iPad Air 2019 is because of the Smart Keyboard Case, which attaches to the physical ports, but the smaller and cheaper iPads do not.
It’s a bit strange, but Apple’s iPad keyboard is now better than its disappointing MacBook keyboard. The keys in chic let format sealed against dust and water. It’s lighter than the famous Logitech Slim Folio, for example, and the keys feel a bit more reliable.
Performance and Test
The iPad Air 2019 has the same A12 processor as the iPad mini 5 2019 and the latest iPhone offers, and has almost the same standards: 4,776 on single-core, 11,501 on multi-core and 24:42 on GFXBenchs most intensive Aztec graphics test.
These results are not quite as fast as the current iPad Pro models that use an A12X processor with enhanced graphics, but they are significantly faster than the current iPad with its A10 processor, the 3.512 single-core and the 5.934 multi-core.
Connectivity and Other Features
This Apple iPad Shares same internet features as the iPad mini 5. That means an entire 802.11ac WLAN and an optional LTE modem that supports all US and most foreign networks.
Like the other iPad models, the Air also runs on iOS 12.2, which is a blessing. Apple’s operating system works with all major business applications such as Microsoft Office and Photoshop, but they are not fully equipped.
Multimedia and Camera
The iPad Air 2019 has an 8MP back camera and a 7MP front camera, both of which record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. The pictures are aggressively sharpened and often quite noisy. Both are far from the quality you get from the latest iPhone, especially in low light conditions. While the iPad Air 2019 is great for working on your next movie, it’s not great for shooting videos.
The iPad camera is designed for computer vision, especially since Apple is trying to develop augmented reality applications. The True Tone screen supports the DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut, so photos and videos look great, if not technically HDR.
Advantages and Disadvantages
- Turbo Processing
- Smart Keyboard Connector
- Crisp and Bright Screen
- Metallic Body
- Long-Lasting Battery
- First Generation Apple Pencil Support
- Sound Quality, (Only single Speaker)
- Touch ID isn’t so fast
- Old Fashioned Design
- No Stereo
Battery life on the new Air is good, running for about 6 hours, and 13 minutes watching online videos on youtube or other social netwroks which is better than othersix and 5 generations iPads which give the best battery backup upto 6 hours.
Apple Air iPad 2019 is suitable for children or anyone who focuses mainly on video and web browsing. Its less powerful processor plays no role in regular operation. You can undoubtedly equip it with the cheaper keyboard of Logitech Slim Folio, but it is not a good option.
The iPad Air 2019 Australia is designed either for creative apps or simple laptop use. Apple’s keyboard is more reliable than Bluetooth, and the more powerful processor offers real benefits in applications such as iMovie and Photoshop Express. If you have a workflow where many files need to dragged between apps, no iPad will work for you. But many people want a word processor and a web browser, so in that case, Apple iPad Air 2019 is the best choice to buy.
